It’s time for another edition of Music Monday, where I share five tracks I’m loving at the moment!
This week’s Golden Old ‘un is something of a one-hit wonder by the wonderful Gabriella Cilmi. It was pretty big a couple of years back, largely thanks to advertising. I still love this track now though. This is Sweet About Me.
Next up is a new song by The Arctic Monkeys which features Richard Hawley. It’s the B-side of their single Black Treacle (do we still have B-sides? I thought they died out with the record!). This track is called You and I. It’s a bit, well odd, but it’s got some good guitar bits in. And I was struggaling to come up with enough songs this week. Anyway, see what you think.
And as we’ve had the B-side, why not the actual single? This is the amazing Black Treacle, once again by The Arctic Monkeys.
My penultimate song here is by OK Go, the band famous for the awesome videos. This is once again mostly here fore the video, though I do quite like the song anyway. This video involves the band driving around in a Chevrolet through a desert and uses over 1000 instruments. The guy driving is actually a member of the band and he took stunt driving lessons to do this. Here is the wonderful video to Needing/Getting.
My record of the week this week is by Scouting For Girls, one of my fave bands. Their last album was a bit disappointing but this track comes from the bonus edition, which I clearly should have invested in. It’s hardly new, but I absoulutely love it. Fun video too!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s selection and there’ll be more in two weeks time. As ever, let me know your thoughts on any of the songs or videos, do you like them?

I would have been shocked if Needing/Getting wasn't on this week's list, that video is awesome!
