I rather liked the subtitles way of writing so we’re getting that again today!
Today
Well I met up with my good friend Chris and we headed to the seaside town of Bournemouth. By the time we arrive it was lunch time so we headed straight to McDonald’s and I collected another few Monopoly stickers. The addiction to collecting stuff continues. I am now just one sticker away from winning £500,000 or a Blackberry Curve (which I already have). The chances of getting the final sticker for either of these two sections is of course very slim, unlike me as I keep attempting to do so.
After this we headed towards the beach and went onto the pier, first playing in the amusement arcade. We failed at betting on small plastic horses but did manage to win but had brilliant fun playing on a Nascar driving game, which saw cars flying all over the track. We then continued up the pier and then returned to the town centre where we decided we should buy some sunglasses. Thanks to the brilliant shop that is Primark we both managed this for only £1 (I will show you me wearing these tomorrow). I also purchased two pairs of jeans there (£5 each), two pairs of shorts (one for £6, one for £3) and a watch for only £4.
Not bad for £4. The woman who served me in Primark was very nice to me and was very attractive to and so I left the till with quite a smile on my face *blushes with embarrassment*. After this our imagination kind of failed on us so we returned to McDonald’s and then sat in the coffee shop in a bookshop for a while. Eventually we returned home having had a lovely time on what was the hottest day of the year so far here.
Cool Stuff in the Post
I had to feel sorry for our postman this morning as he arrived at our door with a ridiculous pile of stuff. Most of this was stuff that I had ordered online recently that had nearly all ended up arriving on the same day and also my mum’s contact lenses which come in really heavy boxes. So what cool stuff did I get?
Firstly that thing in the middle there, which is a huge thing which you put photos in and hang up. It looks really good and I am really pleased with it. (From Amazon) I got all the photos printed and sent to me for free thanks to getting a voucher for Snapfish on McDonald's Monopoly, so at least something good came of doing that.
Then there was a poster, which I got free thanks to collecting points from Coca-Cola (notice how good I am at getting free stuff). It looks like the one below except it is what they call “lenticular”-it’s one where if you look for a different angle the image moves a bit. It’s rather awesome, especially considering the fact it cost nothing. The poor postman had to carry this all the way to my house though and it’s quite large and says “Do not bend” on it so I can only imagine what a pain it must have been.
Lovely Pictures
The other day I took my camera on my usual walk and here’s what I managed to take:
You can just about make out eels in that picture. Apparently they actually travel all the way from Bermuda to get to some random stream near me, around 4000 miles. Quite why they bother I don’t know.
How is that for a beautiful picture?
I came across this cat too. It was really affectionate and ran up to me so I stroked it a bit and then it started rolling around on the ground.
End
And there you have it, all the latest excitement in my life. I haven't had many comments on the blog for a couple of days and that just isn’t right. So come on dear reader, say something, anything!
