rediscovery: noun, the act, process or an instance of discovering (something) again.
The something? Me. I had some deep thoughts the other night about myself and I had a slight revelation. It’s time to stop letting others rule my life and start living it. I’m 18 and single so I can do pretty much what I want. After my last exam tomorrow my Summer begins and I’m going to make it the best Summer of my life despite how crap 2010 has been so far. I’m fed up of being miserable and I am going to be happy, whatever the world has to throw at me.
Anyway, on with the blog. My work experience was a little odd today as it was the school’s world cup day. In a rather unlikely result, Australia beat Nigeria on penalties in the final. Unlikely seeing as though neither of them qualified.
Speaking of the World Cup, today was England’s last chance to qualify for the next round and we were successful thanks to a one-nil win (though it would have been more if it hadn’t of been for some excellent saves my the Slovenian keeper. We have to play Germany in the next round and the chances of us beating them are slim but it will at least be an exciting game.
Staying with the sport, I spent several hours watching the longest tennis match EVER. Isner and Mahut reached 59-59 in the final set after ten hours of play at Wimbledon. AND it hasn’t even finished yet. It shall continue tomorrow and will there ever be a winner.
I am always really pleased when I take a nice picture and I was pleased with the one below. Lovely, don’t you think?

So tomorrow my Summer begins but I have to get that final exam out the way first…
