11AM and I was lying in bed, wondering whether it’s worth bothering to get up. Then I heard the sound of a baby downstairs which was reason enough to emerge downstairs.
The London Marathon was today and I watched it as I do most years. Whilst watching it I thought it would be fun to do my own contest for best costume. Here are the contender’s:
I am giving the “prize” to the camel there. My fave part of the coverage was the smoothest guy ever. He ran the 26 miles, was on live TV being interviewed by Colin Jackson and then turned to his girlfriend and proposed to her. Nice one!
After the shop-bought rhubarb we planted in the allotment seems to have died we managed to get hold of some proper rhubarb from a friend.
That will certainly have a much better chance of growing. The garlic is already beginning to shoot now and we are putting in potatoes at the weekend.

In other news, there are plans afoot for a DCM excursion on Bank Holiday Monday and certain parts of my life now feel a little bit better…
