Today the big allotment project officially began!I have always been quite interested in gardening but having the opportunity to grow our own veg is amazing. We’ve recently been given an allotment that is 5m by 5m, so fairly small. Here it is on arrival today:
It’s been a dry week. We turned the earth over, finding various plant roots and bits of rubble and then got to work at setting out the squares. This is what the site looked like at the end of today.
A huge improvement. Tomorrow we are purchasing (as well as using some of our own) compost and then adding it into the squares. Planting should be coming soon. All future post featuring our allotment will say allotment and number in the title.
This afternoon I went to Gemma’s but it was a rather hectic afternoon as her three young cousins were there. It once again reassured me with the fact that I was born to work with children. Also I had the opportunity to be a big kid, check out my dinner:
Chicken nuggets and potato smiles! Win!
I have been asked to post a link to a piece of software called Windows 7 TuneUp Suite. It’s compatible with Windows XP onward and basically tunes-up your computer. It is from a reputable company called Windstry. Enjoy:
