Reasons why I’m happy

I’m bored yet extremely happy, and here’s why:

1) Gemma. 18 and a half amazing months we’ve been together. That feels so good. And the fact is that we’ve had so many amazing times together, yet there are far more to come than have been. I have seen and heard a lot of people complaining about Valentine’s Day ‘cos they are single, and I know that I will not be that person. It’s impossible to explain unless you’ve properly been in love, and you don’t really know what it feels like to be in love til it happens. But I am in love, and it’s amazing!

2) Friends. For a fair bit of my childhood I was quite lonely. But things have changed. I spent most of my time at school with Mike (as much as I want to throttle him at times) and walking time with Chris and the little things they say which make me laugh are priceless. Further afield there’s Sammy and Julia who are kind of like my personal agony aunts and are always there for me when I need them, and of course I am always there for them.

3) A Career. After a 16 years if not really knowing where my life was going, but now I know. It is certain now (due to my offers and stuff) that I will in around 5 years time be fully-trained as a primary school teacher. That is incredible. I know that I will have a lifetime of a happy (but stressful!) job.

Those are the three main things but I could go on for ever. I like blogging stuff, it’s a lovely way to share experiences. I don’t really know how many people read this but I think a few do. If you’ve read this on Facebook could you please “like” it? Anyway, I should get to bed. Night x
