Today started off fairly average. I vaguely made an effort for the Haiti dressing up day by wearing blue and red but it’s the money that counts. I paid to dress up, put change in boxes etc and also bought lots of cakes and stuff, all of which went to Haiti. Nice lunch and money to charity, everybody wins.
History with Mrs R. Mostly, as per usual, it was Mrs R talking a lot. We have to make a start on our coursework now, it’s like an exciting adventure.
Eng Lit with Cornish. For some unexplained reason Cornish was dressed up as one of the 118 guys of the advert, though he “camped up” the part. It was very hard to take him seriously and there were some disturbing moments due to the shorts…
Then it was lunch but unlike most Friday’s I hanged around for a bit as it was Open Mic. There were some brilliant performances from Jack Campion, Mel Barton, The Dandy Pratts and Beth was as amazing as usual. Poor Tom Lawrie was forced into singing a song though. Here’s a quick snap of Jack singing I’m Yours:
It was lovely seeing all that talent. I then went into town for reasons I can’t disclose until Sunday (though if you think about it it’s obvious). I took the long way back round the lake and saw that spring is certainly on the way. I saw a baby blue tit, which is really early, and also a bird I’ve always wanted to see, a bullfinch. Here’s one of my fave spots on the entire planet:
I then arrived home and checked my e-mails. To my tremendous surprise and happiness I have been given an offer from BOTH Winchester and Chichester Uni’s. So I’m going to University. How exciting! This is awesome news, and I haven't even had an interview with UWE yet! My planned life is still going perfectly :)
The final thing to make my day happy was my Gemma. I spent a couple of hours at her house which was lovely, as ever. Perfect Day!
