Dan’s Diaries: 2003 Part 1

I have kept a diary since 2003, back when I was only ten years old and was in year six. I’m now approaching my eighteenth birthday and thought it would be amusing to share some of the things I wrote in my diaries. This first bit is from the first six months of 2003. Anything italics is stuff from my diary, and normal is stuff I’ve written today.

Monday 30th Dec 2002: Dear Diary, Today was very boring. Mum and Dad dismantled some more of their horrible wardrobe unit. A waste of time and a waste of space on this page.
Lol, the thrills of a my life back then.

Wednesday 1st Jan 2003: Well now it is tomorrow! At 12:35 everybody went. Time for bed. See you later on. *Small gap* Even though I went to bed so late I got up at 9:00.

Saturday 12th Jan: Today was a very sad day for our family. Merlin was put down. A car gave him a tail-pull yesterday. I remember all the things he used to do- chase the cord on the end of the bin-bag, sleep in such funny ways. I really miss him.
My ten year old heart was broken that day.

Thurs 23rd Jan: Tuesday, yesterday and today, Marc has been ill. During that me and Chris have been playing together and pairing up together. Chris is defiantly my best friend now. I just hope Marc doesn’t mind though.

Sat 1st Feb: Fantastic day! First we had a tour round dean park (home ground AFCB). Then we had a training session (I got football boots this morning). Last but not least was the game Bournemouth Vs. Boston. Boston’s goalie walked into the post! Final score: Bournemouth 2 Boston 1 Hurrah!

Wed 12th Feb: Today (yr 6 only) went to see ‘Joseph and his technicolor coat’ at Ringwood comp. It was a musical and very good. Maybe I’ll do something like it.
I clearly forgot about my lack of musical talent.

Sat 15th March (My 11th birthday): What I got was: a pile of books, two horrible histories CDS and a cool camera. Then to nature squad. GAP Later we met up with Chris (and a £10 book token). First bowling, which was really fun. Then to see TREASURE PLANET. Pizza hut last. I got back to a Shrek playstation game. Once I opened it there was a knock at the door. Another £12.
How shallow was I? I have a photo from that day too:

Thurs 27th March: Another great day! Superschools came today with Julian Golley (a very good triplejumper). First we got a photo with him then we did some horrid exercises- I’m still panting. Finally Julian gave us a talk and did a jump.

Tues 20th May: I had to get up so early this morning just because I’m going to France. And that isn’t the worst of it! On the bus to the ferry I dropped my ferry pass. Thankfully Mr. B went back and found it. Well done! The crossing was really ruff and I was seasick, urgh!

I hope you all enjoyed reading that and you read the next part by clicking here!
